Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology

FACILITIES IN THE DEPARTMENT:

• Department is having a well functioning mortuary with all the facilities and amenities as enumerated by Medical Council of India with round of clock facility for Medico-legal Autopsy.
• Department is having a well organized department with facility of RECORD SECTION to preserve medico-legal documents for thirty years tenure, a MUSEUM encompassing different sections like –photography section, radiology section, toxicology section, osteology section, specimen section, weapons section and different models and charts covering almost portion of UG syllabus, A well equipped RESEARCH LABORATORY and UNDERGRADUATE LABORATORY, a LIBRARY CUM SEMINAR ROOM containing vast reading material in a peaceful seating facility, LECTURE THEATRE CUM DEMONSTRATION ROOMS with facilities of audiovisual aid.
• A sound accommodation for teaching as well as non teaching staff with additional space for storage of instruments, equipments and chemicals.
• Department is now developing a TOXICOLOGICAL GARDEN wherein the UG students should get aquanted with the toxicological plants and learn toxicology through practical exposure.
