FACILITIES IN THE DEPARTMENT
i) Infrastructure:
Lecture halls, Pharmacy and clinical pharmacology laboratory, PG research laboratory, Departmental Library, Demonstration halls, and Museum
ii) Audio-visual aids:
Computers, LCD projector, over-head projector, HMIS with Internet facility
iii) Hospital services:
Central Drug store: Making availability of essential drugs to all sections of hospital
Institutional Ethics Committee: Postgraduate dissertations and research proposal approval and to fulfil the purpose, of such research, that it should be directed towards the increase of knowledge about the human condition in relation to its social and natural environment, mindful that the human species is one of the many species in a planet in which the wellbeing of all species is under threat, no less from the human species as any other, and that such research is for the betterment of all, especially the least advantaged.
Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) for approval of preclinical research proposals
Adverse drug reaction Monitoring Centre (AMC) –to promote safe and rational use of drugs for community by regular reporting of ADRs to Indian Pharmacopoeia commission(IPC), Ghaziabad, U.P.
Staff participating as Faculty members / observers for various workshop/conferences/CME

iii) Animal house: Availability of Animals
Making availability of animals like Rats, Mice, Guinea pigs, Rabbit for pre-clinical studies and undergraduate, postgraduate teaching in the institute.
iv) Equipments available:
All necessary instruments required for undergraduate and post-graduate courses are available.
v) Courses offered with intake capacity:
Second M.B.B.S.: 150 students / year
Post-graduation- MD Pharmacology : 3 students / year
Certificate Course in “Modern Pharmacology” for homoeopaths by MUHS: 50 students / year
