Functions and objectives

1)To evolve and demonstrate methods of rendering a highly competent ophthalmic services to the community through an integrated approach of promotive , preventive ,curative and rehabilitative concept
2)To  provide facilities for training of ophthalmologists, ophthalmic personnel like ophthalmic assistant and nurses
3)Training of health personnel for rehabilitation of blind and other paraophthalmic staff
4)To act as referral centre  for ophthalmic healthcare providers such as PHCs , CHCs
