1)Provides comprehensive, high quality eye care services to the residents of solapur and nearby areas
2) Provides accredited training to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Dr. VMGMC ,Solapur with affiliation to MUHS,Nashik.
3) Conducts clinically oriented research in ophthalmology.

Clinical Services:

1)Emergency services: Round the clock emergency services are available in casualty to deal with all types of ocular emergencies.
2)Outpatient Department services:All modern equipments are available including :

compact ophthalmic chair unit
autorefractometer
state of art slit lamp biomicroscope with applanation tonometer for precise diagnosis and measurement of intraocular pressure
Dark room with retinoscope, direct ophthalmoscope

3) Indoor And Surgical Care:

40 bedded eye ward having separate male,female and paediatric sections.
3 Well equipped Operation Theatres(2 Major,1Minor) – Having 2 operating microscopes and 3 Motorized operating tables.
